Believe me, you don't lose anything with not having the games translated. Spanish translations are usually composed of 80% FAIL with some 20% serious translation. Also, having Pokémon names in common with English games has allowed Spanish players to be able to understand English websites and their huge content kinda better than French or Germans generally do, since identifying those names makes it a little bit easier for them.

They did random spot-checks on people, and EVERYONE who got into the Top 16 had to be hack-checked. I should know, I was in the Top 16 of the London event. However, RNG is a big problem.

However, it was a very fun experience, I highly recommend it. With actual battling, the game translates everything except for names, so cross language-battling isn't a problem.

Also guys, there is still a species clause - the rules posted up there were only the changes from last year.

A problem in which way? Is it viewed as cheating but isn't detected, or not viewed as cheating but accidentally detected as a hack?

ANNOUNCED CITIES AND DATES.

* Saturday, May 29, 2010 - Birmingham, England
* Saturday, June 5, 2010 - Cologne, Germany
* Saturday, June 12, 2010 - Lyon, France
* Saturday, June 19, 2010 - Madrid, Spain

Finally, Spain is considered. But a surprise they put the rules in Italian but have forgotten Italy (but still, to not have an Italian tournament after posting the rules in Italian...has been a big slap in the face for italians). Well, with Lyon and Cologne as cities instead Paris or Berlin, is easier for the Italians to reach that cities and participate, I suppose.

EDIT: Some distances availables:
-Cologne to Berlin: 575 km.
-Hamburg to Cologne: 446 km.
-Munich to Cologne: 592 km.

-Paris to Lyon: 481 km.
-Milan to Lyon: 450 km.
-Turin to Lyon: 280 km.
-Genoa to Lyon: 541 km.
---
-Rome to Lyon: 1066 km.

-Barcelona to Madrid: 628 km.

North Italians can compete without problems in Lyon. The problem is for people from the South of Italy starting in Rome.

Some people consider it as cheating. I personally am against it (Especially as the people who knocked me out in both 2009 and 2010 had RNG'd teams, whereas I breed and SR).

Also, there was a problem with the European events, where people who had the 2009 Worlds Weavile were wrongly disqualified, due to the event not being the hack-checker's program.

And finally the Finals are going to be played in Hawai this weekend. You can follow them here: http://www.pokemonworldchampionships.com/2010/standings.

There are 3 members of UEPC who are going to play the finals and I´m sure they´re going to represent Europe well. Good luck to RubenNBC, DaFlo, and Aqualouis! (I don´t know if there is anyone more registered who is participating in the finals this weekend).

EDIT: The European Army (3 Spanish, 2 Germans, 2 English, 1 French)...none of them advanced to Quarter-finals T_T

EDIT2: And American trainer BlueCookies won the WC.
