Blue - Squirtle
Yellow - Pikachu (duh)
Silver - Chikorita
Crystal - Cyndaquil
Sapphire - Torchic
LeafGreen - Squirtle
Diamond - Piplup
Platinum - Chimchar (although I played through the whole game with an Absol)
SoulSilver - Chikorita
Black - ??? (but I will take Oshawott)

You may notice I took Chikorita on both original Silver and SoulSilver for nostalgic reasons... and it's my favorite. Same thing with Squirtle in both Blue and LeafGreen.

Blue - No image of what was first, I have restarted it many times. But I'm still quite positive that it has to be Squirtle

Blue: Squirtle
Yellow: Pikachu ( sadly there was no other option... )
Silver: Cyndaquil
Gold: Totodile ( for a change... )
Saphire: Torchic ( but i think that if i hadn't seen a pic of Blaziken before i chose, i might have gotten mudkip instead. )
Ruby: Torchic ( again! Blaziken is just super cool )
Pearl: Chimchar ( yet another cool fire type starter )
Platinum: Chimchar
Fire red: Charmader
Heart Gold: Cyndaquil
White: I don't have it yet but i'll probably go for Tepig

Anyway, in general the fire types tend to be cooler most of the times in their final evolutions than the others. And they also offer a much easier gameplay, as they tend, taking also into consideration their secondary type, to eliminate the gym leaders and the League a bit easier than the others....

As perhaps noticed, all my starters are some kind of reptiles. I have loved reptiles since I was a kid, and still do.
